Sunday 09 January 2011

Posted by The Coach on January 8th, 2011

A dear and very young friend of mine is experimenting with fairly radical new treatment for Multiple sclerosis (MS) this week. She is one of the most inspirational beings I know. Very rarely is she emotionally low or doubts her life situation. Her physical abilities at the moment and for a period of time now have have been quite limited. She does not live the life of a ‘normal’ teenager or young adult.  We anticipate this treatment to allow her to walk again. I strongly believe with her powerfully positive attitude she will achieve beyond this goal… The purpose of this story is for three major reasons:

1. Appreciation of personal and perhaps collective circumstance. We should all have the ability to appreciate sincerely and greatly what we have; our senses, the ability to walk, the ability to be mobile, to speak clearly and communicate and have the option to experience wonders such as climbing mountains, partaking in elite and extreme fitness, swimming in the ocean and just moving where we want to. We all have the ability to stand firmly in this nowness and appreciate what we have and how we have it.

2. Awareness. To make aware the severity and harsh reality for many of contracting Multiple sclerosis, what is it, who does it affect and why does it occur?

3. Amazement of the human spirit. To pay a tribute to the inner strength of my dear friend. I am humbled by her will, determination, personal value system, beliefs and the way she conducts herself with others. We could all perhaps learn so much from this attitude, there are others I know who conduct themselves in this way, this way of thinking needs to be contagious, for it is truly healing…

Fantastic work by all this morning at the beach! Perfect weather and super happy with everybody’s performance.

    Enjoy today’s beautiful weather!

    “Bring back the Mo”…

Mass social pressure towards one of the greats (Rod K) will force him in to a position where he has no choice but to bring back the tash…
