Skill Session – Rope Climbing

There was a great turnout to The Cell’s first skill session; Rope Climbing.

A number of people tackled the ropes for the first time with a few successfully making the trip to the top.

Jase R. provided the entertainment with an awesome display of strength with his L-Sit rope climb and 2-rope climb and a few of the girls provided the fashion, albeit questionably fashionable, with their striped knee high socks.

Keep working the technique guys and it will come. Everyone there tonight has the strength and ability to climb the rope, but like everything we do, it simply comes down to practicing the skill of the movement.

    Hey Guys,
    Thanks for a great night climbing ropes. I feel a heap more confident now after some successful climbs. The rope around the feet technique just makes a world of difference!
    Bring it on next WOD!!!

    Absolute pleasure Anth. I loved it.

    I also find it interesting that skill sessions, open gyms etc tend to end up with me, Stef or someone trying to do impossible shit like a 20ft rope climb in one bite, jumping over stacked tyres in a single bound, free standing parallette L-sit to handstand’s etc! Gotta love testosterone 🙂 hahahaha
