The Cell – Real Fitness Standards – Grading Day

Posted by The Coach on June 24th, 2010

The time has come to see how fit you really are.

Have you just started at The Cell? Are you ready to tackle Level 1?

Or are you a Fire-Breather and think you’re up to the challenge of Level 5?

The Cell is holding their second Real Fitness Standards Grading on Saturday 21 August 2010 at 11am.

What are The Cell – Real Fitness Standards?
Go here for our standards.

What’s involved in the Grading?
1. Check out the standards and determine where you’re at physically and mentally.
2. Nominate via email which level you wish to be graded at.
3. Pay your $50 grading fee.
4. The Cell Coaches, Stef and Jason, will randomly select 8 physical tasks from the nominated level, plus 1 x Endurance standard, plus the WOD for that level.
5. On Grading Day, you will be judged by The Cell Coaches on each of the randomly selected tasks which must be completed to the required standard.
6. If you pass all tasks, you will be awarded with that Grade; Level 1, 2, 3, 4  or 5.
7. Successful athletes will be awarded The Cell Real Fitness Standards – Level T-Shirt, The Cell Real Fitness Standards – Level Wrist Band and a place on The Cell – Real Fitness Standards Whiteboard.

Fail one task and you fail the grading. We make no apologies for the Standards being high and tough to pass. Our athletes are fit across broad time and modal domains. We expect and reward that.

Any questions – please email Jason

Bugger – this is the day before the city to surf and my first marathon so probably not a good idea that I come along 😦

Bugger, bugger, crap! I knew there’d be something on that weekend! I always manage that regardless of what calendar I look at. Date change coming up people!

    Jase 🙂

Bugger is right! I laminated an A3 copy of the standards and Lisa and I both highlighted things we needed to work on. I still have 4 on the list – Lisa is all ready to go.

The nights that Lisa and I have a few beers, seem to be the night that I look at the list, see handstand push and think if I try I could probably give it a red hot crack.

But Lisa in her wisdom decides its probably not the most oppourtune time to try 🙂
