Sunday 18 October 2009

Posted by The Coach on October 17th, 2009

Who are we? We find that we live on an insignificant planet of a humdrum star lost in a galaxy tucked away in some forgotten corner of a universe in which there are far more galaxies than people. Carl Sagan.

So much can be learned from this remarkable human being, truly one of my favorite human persons to roam and the face of this Earth and influence me greatly. For part of the person I am is due to the humanity and philosophies of this man. He was educated and learned across an array of disciplines. Not only did he conceptualise, idealise and project his thoughts, he acted, he did and he lived as he spoke…

If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe. Carl Sagan

AM = 2hrs Cross country MTB ride, easy to medium pace. I found some great new tracks in Mundaring, yippee.

PM = Went on down to the affiliate gathering at Southern Crossfit, thanks guys and girls that was brilliant. Did lots of Doubleunders, box jumps, 50kg squat cleans, Toes to bar’s and Pushups.

During my ride through the bush today I was thinking on how insignificant you can feel when confronted with the cosmos, but then realised that I was actually being very significant in my participation with the environment, I was enjoying the wild flowers, smelling the freshness of the bush air, appreciating how Kangaroo’s hop, and loving how my body was performing.
